Writers' and Journalists' Forum

A place where the written and broadcasted word is celebrated!

Intended to grow into an invaluable resource for writers and journalists!

About this forum

Hi, welcome to the "writers' and journalists' forum"!

This is a new forum and social networking website, set up with the aim of aiding communication between writers, journalists and anyone with a general interest in creative pursuits.

Here on the main page you should be able to get a flavour of what we're all about. Click on the tabs above for more information.

Feel free to explore the site and to make best use of it in any way you wish.

The dedicated 'forum page' is a good place to exchange information and opinions with other members.

It would be especially great if people could use the forum to share news and advice. This space can be also used to showcase pieces of work and to ask others for their opinions and feedback.

Live chat is also available. And special interest groups can be set-up for anyone wanting to discuss the finer points of a particular issue or subject.

The site also features one or two resources and web-links which may be of use. (These will develop over time.)

Anyone is welcome to join and contribute to the forum, or just to browse.

Have fun!!!!

This squad doesn't fall down behind.

Hi, Mat. When this forum started, there was little number of members. But we were able to organize one squad now. I'm glad.
This squad may be left behind now by the trench of "the battle front of the writing". But this squad doesn't fall down behind.

Unemployed unmotivated?

Why is it that unemplyment has such a negative connotation? Suddenly we find ourselves with so much time and not so much to do (opening up LOADS of time), yet, we become a bit blue and our motivation levels to write shoot way down. I thought perhaps it was just me and a single situation. However, there are many more like me, writers with time to write and no motivation to do so. I guess this is where I force myself to work through it.
Today I will write 2 more pages.............
There is my goal… Continue

What Is Poetry Boxing?

Similar to boxing, poetry boxing is done in a ring. Two poetry boxers read their original poems in a battle to see who engages the audience the most, with judges deciding victory or defeat in this "word fight." Pandemonium in the Japanese summer.

I went for a certain exhibition yesterday. It is the valuable exhibition that Japanese traditional Pandemonium relates to. Unfortunately there is not the official introduction sentence by the English.
You had better avoid it in the summer if you visited Japan. Because, in the Japanese summer, there are a great many ghosts.

WJFourn promotion and membership

A forum like this obviously needs a few members before things can take-off! So, I'm doing my best to promote the site on Facebook, MySpace and on a few other sites. I don't want to be accused of spamming, so I'm doing this on quite a small scale, but targeted to relevant groups and people. I'll continue to do this over the coming weeks - hopefully it won't be too long before more and more people start to join!!

I've also added the WJForum to all the main websearch engines, to let them… Continue

"My Page" - layout and features

The "My Page" is your space!

It's possible to customise the "My Page" layout and features. Features can be dragged into different locations, and new features, videos and photographs can be added too! Colour schemes can be changed as well.

For example, I've used the space to promote myself and explain a little about my journalistic ambitions. In an attempt to showcase my work, I've also posted an article I have written (in PDF format) to the page.
